MEET JOHN DONOHUE

My Beliefs and Aims

My commitments toward positive change in Wisconsin include (but certainly not limited to) our State’s fiscal areas, especially in reducing property and income tax burdens and regulations.

  • I seek positive change in fixing roads and infrastructure.

  • I seek improved state policies that support agriculture and preservation of family farming.

  • I will promote economic and business development, particularly on our Main Streets, and which further develop our great “On Wisconsin” workforce.

  • I will improve policies that maximize integrity in our elections.

  • I seek positive change in our ailing healthcare system particularly as our population ages – staffing problems, healthcare accessibility and affordability.

  • I will work toward affordable housing.

  • I want positive change in our school system – greater transparency & quality in public schools.

  • I will promote improvements in how we support and honor our veterans.

  • My focus is on meaningful reforms that benefit every one of my district’s 60,000 residents and each and every one of our 6 million great Wisconsin citizens.

As an Army veteran, having honorably served and defended our country for 27 years, I now “serve and defend” Wisconsin to achieve the highest effectiveness in our government for all our citizens.

On the home front, I have two adult children. And behind every good man, there’s a great woman, and that woman is my partner Kelly. We live in Fort Atkinson with our dog, Winston S. Churchill.
